Fair
Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is intended to ensure the
accuracy and fairness of the credit reporting system.
The
Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) prohibits discrimination
in credit transactions for a variety of factors (including race,
color, sex and religion), also makes it illegal to discriminate
against you because you have exercised your rights under the FCRA.
The
Fair Credit Billing Act which establishes procedures
for correcting errors on credit cards and similar accounts.
The
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) which establishes
procedures for correcting errors on credit cards and similar accounts
